Leo Uraki was born in Yokohama, Japan in 2009. In 2015, at the age of six, he moved from Japan to Hawaii, where he began playing golf. After spending four years in Hawaii, he relocated to Innsbruck, Austria at the age of ten in 2019.

At the Austrian Junior Golf Championships, he finished 2nd in the U14 category in 2023 and won 1st place in the U16 category in 2024. In 2025, he achieved 1st place in a tournament recognized by the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR), earning his WAGR ranking. This accomplishment granted him entry into top-level amateur tournaments held in countries such as the United Kingdom, France, and Spain, as he continues to aim for a higher global ranking.

Currently, he attends an international school in Innsbruck, Austria, and is fluent in English, German, and Japanese. His ultimate goal is to achieve a Grand Slam in the major golf championships.
